VIP Visit to the New Prep School Development
28 August 2020
The Bursar and Chair of Governors welcomed the President of the OA Society to see the progress so far of the new Prep School development. James James-Crook (M1968-72), President of the OA Society and recently elected member of the Governing body, was invited to view the building site of what will become a new, purpose built Prep School. James was overwhelmed by what he saw and is very excited about the prospect of this new facility being ready for use next spring. The building will be named after Field Marshal Lord Richard Vincent (SH1945-50), a fitting honour for such a notable OA, former Chair of Governors and good friend to the School. When the new school building opens next year the existing premises used by the youngest children at Aldenham, from age 3 to 11, will be released for use by the Senior School again, providing a home for the new Woodrow’s House, which welcomes a new cohort of 11 to 13 year olds in September 2020.These are very exciting times for everyone at Aldenham and despite the difficulties faced by the recent pandemic the Foundation is showing resistance and continuing to thrive.
